Press Release | Munich, Germany – May 9th, 2023

Modelwise is proud to announce the publication of our latest article, “KI Techniken für die Funktionale Sicherheit” (AI Techniques for Functional Safety), in the May 2023 edition of ATP (Automatisierungstechnische Praxis) magazin.

The publication discusses our experience with AI for use in safety-critical applications. As of today, no standardized process for this evaluation has been approved yet. The article uses modelwise’ Concept Report for IEC 61508 and ISO 26262 to showcase the path to AI qualification and explain the analyses and documents required by TÜV SÜD for successfully introducing an AI-based safety-critical tool. Furthermore, it summarizes the current debate over the qualification of AI and the extent AI can be used in Functional Safety.

“We are thrilled to share our latest research with the readers of the ATP magazin, our team has been working tirelessly to develop innovative AI solutions that meet the highest safety standards. This publication demonstrates our commitment to develop a solution for accelerated and improved safety assessment.”
